3 Stars It Gets Better As You Go Along
This is a simply writtten book which traces the author’s road from rags to riches. If I had reviewed this book when I’d been half-way through it, I would have given it fewer stars. The first part of the book tells the story of how Tom Pinnock made his fortune in the network marketing field. It also paints a glowing portrait of his own choice of company. I did not, however, buy the book for this type of information. Since it is a rather short book, I decided to stay with it and found myself saying “Bravo” by the end. I especially enjoyed the chapters on ego, goals, strengths, weaknesses and the need to have fun. These words of wisdom were invaluable. This is not a book with the depth of research found in Richard Poe’s “Wave Three” or “Wave Four”, nor is it meant to be. If you are in the same company as the author, it is a “must-read”. For all others, it is an uplifting success story with advise worth following.
1 Star The author knows nothing about building a network marketing business
I worked with the author of this book in a network marketing venture..the only one he has ever worked. He was a horrible sponsor. He never worked the business and his wife was a vendictive person only interested in her own wellbeing. I have never encountered such evil people in my life. They were only interested in what they would get, never in helping anyone else. The author knows nothing about network marketing, only about BS…that is what he was known for in this company. This is the absolute truth.
5 Stars How to make MLM work for you
Although Mr. Pinnock is mainly speaking about his MLM company, “Reliv”, I feel that if you follow his merthod you will be succwessful in any MLM you try.
Mr. Pinnock makes everything very clear for the beginner and is tips are a help for the seasoned MLMer.

4 Stars Mission Statements
Just wanted to let the readers of this book know that the quote on Mission Statements given by the reader in Kirkland, Washington, is actually quoted and credited in Snetsinger’s book to the best-selling author of The Path: Creating Your Mission Statement for Work and for Life, by Laurie Beth Jones. Snetsinger’s book is great, but for help in forming and living your mission, read The Path by Laurie Beth Jones. She truly helps you create a brief, succint and focused statement of purpose that can be used in all of life’s activities.
5 Stars Insightful and to the point
I found this book to be a nugget. I do have a couple of other MLM books that are my favorites but this is definetely a must read for people in MLM. There were at least 3 chapters that catapulted my thinking: 1. Developing a Mission Statement 2. The $300 dollar solution. Wow! This simple little solution just blew me away. How could MLM be that simple. Why doesn’t your upline ever tell you about this? Do they even know? 3. The following quote from the book really stimulated my thought process: “Anonymous marketing just doesn’t work anymore. Consumers want to know not only what they’re buying, but who they’re buying it from. The people, not the logo. Consumer relationship is as important as product development.” Think of all of the Dave Thomas (Wendy’s) type of commercials on TV. Successful growing companies where we can identify with the owner. They are everywhere. Further proof that MLM is the future.
2 Stars Wasn’t what I expected. Maybe the low rating?
As Pat has metioned, a lot of the material in his book he picked up from other books he has read. It does give a realalistic view of day to day frustrations of mlm. To me he lost my interest and turned me off when he started on about his “new age” beliefs. If your a strong Christian or don’t care about new age doctrine, you can get some good info out of his book. If your looking for how to’s on mlm, look elsewhere. If your wondering about common thoughts that mlmers think, it’ll be a good read.
5 Stars Mission Statement and MLM success — Finally!
I’ve been in MLM for several years now and am delighted that Patrick Snetsinger has finally touched on the one tool REQUIRED for success in this business. His chapter on Mission Statements is my favorite! He states ‘in a world in which we are daily forced to make decisions that lead us either closer to or further from our goals, no tool is as valuable in providing direction as a mission statement — a brief and focused statement of purpose that can be used to initiate, evaluate, and refine all of life’s activities. A carefully thought out mission statement acts as both a harness and a sword — harnessing you to what is true about your life, and cutting away all that is false.’
It is my experience that MLM distributors are presented with dozens of decisions; the proverbial “forks in the road” every day! With a mission statement in your hand and in your heart, you will be able to decide which road to take in order to achieve objectives — harness and cut away as needed.
This chapter looks at several ‘high profile’ company statements and then takes the reader through a 6-step program
I give a copy of Confessions of a Multi-level Marketer; Networking From Your Heart to all new recruits in my organization with instructions to read this chapter first!

5 Stars Great book for everyone!
When I first entered this industry I was lost. It was very clear to me that I knew very little about the MLM industry and that the people above me knew very little as well. Like so many beginners, I was forced to find the information on my own. But where to turn?. The first book I turned to was ” Your First Year in Network Marketing”, it helped me immensly in pointing me to towards the path of success. But when it came down to the actual “how-to” of the business, this book helped me enormously!. It’s so easy to duplicate and understand!.It’s not boring nor filled with pointless paragraphs. This book is crammed down to the point of an actual instruction manual ( at least in my version), with good solid information. So simple!. So easy to use. I can’t understand why’d you want to use something else!. When combined with the tapes and “Your First Year in Network Marketing”, the combination of information is unbeatable!.
5 Stars Great book!
Great book, lot of good advice. I totally believe in the network marketing business the problem I encountered was I rarely found anyone else who felt the same way. Good luck!!
4 Stars This book gives you a thorough basic understanding in MLM
