While I’m biased - Brad and Debra Schepp contribute articles to AuctionBytes - there’s a reason I ask them to write for me. The two have immersed themselves in the eBay selling world and know their stuff. They talk to PowerSellers face-to-face at conferences as well as communicating with them online, and that gives them keen insight into seller concerns and challenges. Brad and Debra are great writers, and the 2nd Edition of eBay PowerSeller Secrets is a worthwhile investment for online sellers.

eBay Powerseller Secrets: Insider Tips from eBay’s Most Successful Sellers
This is by far the best and most informative Ebay Book out there. It is extremely easy to read and I finished it in one day. I could not put this book down for one second. It is a fast-reading book and tells you everything that you need to know about being a responsible and successful Ebay Seller.
I am the type of person who usually likes to figure things out for myself. After finding this book, I realized that it is not necessary to spend so much time trying to find my way around by myself. I originally started auctioning on eBay in 1999 and continued for a few years. Now I am back to resume my online auction business again and since there are so many changes to eBay that I thought it would take me 2 months to really figure out how to get around again.
The eBay Power Seller secret book saved me so much time. The book is so organized and runs through every topic and highlights all of the important information from the beginning to the end. There are also many helpful links and resources for any area that I may need additional information.
I was going to pass this book along to my Business Partner, but no way am I letting this book out of my office. It is staying right on my desk so that I can use it for reference. I already purchased another copy for my Business Partner which she will be reading this weekend.

5 Stars Best research book for Newbies
I thought this book was great! Until last month I had only been a buyer on eBay and now I also sell there. I think this book is very helpful to the newbies. It will help me avoid the mistakes of those that have gone before me. It is easy to read, well written, and I like the fact that they have REAL people with REAL stories.
Before I opened the cover of eBay Power Seller secrets, I didn’t know that I needed, or wanted, to know all this stuff, but now, I am amazed at all the information that I would never have been exposed to through the forums or the FAQs or even networking. I really like the chapter that covers buying wholesale and what to look for and look out for.
I am sure this book will become the stardard that everyone else who follow’s or at the very least the guy that shipped the package pictured on page 288! That is a great example of what not to do if you want to stay in this business.
I highly recommend this book. It will help you save money you didn’t even know you were going to lose!

In my opinion this is by far the absolute best book I have ever read which is most helpful for selling on Ebay. The book was a gift from my Business Partner because she said that it was a have-to-have and a must read. She was so right and I am so glad that she bought this book for me. It contains a wealth of case studies, which draw on the knowledge and experience of many talented Powersellers. I have learned so much and feel much more comfortable now on my way to becoming a Powerseller. If you either plan on selling only a few things occasionally or wish to make it a career as a Powerseller, this book appeals to a variety of sellers. Every detail is covered from beginning to end and all the ins and outs are clearly explained. This book was straightforward and is advanced, in a very easy to understand and read. Truly recommend this book 150%.

I finished this book in two days; it’s easy to read and keeps you going. The principle is really simple, but gets you to think (and compare the discussed strategy with the traditional networking method).
In addition, it includes very motivating and inspiring stories.
Finally, in the end of the book, it helps you get closer to your goals by providing a step-by-step sorta thing that will get you closer to your goals in life. It’s not expensive and it was defenitely worth the money.

I think this book really explains network marketing at its core. I thought that I understood it before, but definitely explains why “sales people” do not do as well in it. I definitely needed to know the difference between direct sales and network marketing. Brilliant book, simply brilliant. Once you read it you will no longer have the excuse that you don’t know what to do.

I am a business owner interested in the Managed Services market space. I have read so much about Managed services but have not found a step by step guide on how to implement the managed services business plan or sell those services to clients. What I needed were step by step guides on both the topics. I was introduced to Erick’s books by another associate. This book and “The Best I.T. Sales & Marketing BOOK EVER!” by Erick were exactly what I was looking for. Erick is not just a subject matter expert in Managed Services but has practiced and implemented his teachings and recommendations. He explains several key concepts and best practices on Managed Services, Deliverables, Pricing, How to identify clients, sell, support and maintain the services and build a long term win-win relationship with the clients. The coverage on How to Hire and Train your sales staff is worth its weight in gold. This book is very timely for those of us who are new in networking. I found so much that is good for me to put into action. The book is easy to read and, for the most part, takes care of the questions I came up with, as I read the book. The only reason I give it four stars is because, as I was reading there were a few questions that I didn’t have answers to until the end of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone in multi-level sales.

I follow up to everything I can find written by Rosalind Gardner including her website and I can say that her material is quite solid and no pitch. This book kept my interest from first page to the last one. These days you can meet lots of gurus in affiliate marketing but from my own experience I learned that from some of them you should stay far away if you don’t want to let them use your bank account as their own.
Example: you pay for initial product, never receive this product, your requests for getting money back never reach anybody and on top of that in a month you suddenly find out that this “guru” is now charging you for phantom membership. Your emails stay never responded, your calls never get any effect, so you have to ask your bank to close access to your account for this thief. Your brains get dried off with this fight against the wind and you are not even close to success in online business.
With Rosalind you are safe, she is open in many ways, and all you need is just to work hard for her instructions to bring you that fortune. I enjoyed her book and will definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to learn about marketing online.

4 Stars Great Info About How to Communicate With CEOs
The book focuses on the mind of CEOs and how to communicate with them. Most sales people fear having to sell to top officers, because they have very little experience working with them (other than following orders or being managed by them).
Anthony provides a ton of information on how top officers think and behave. Having this information really helped me to gain enough confidence to sell at the highest level more effectively. I now have a road map and some principles to follow.
On the downside, the book provides too much advice at times. With all the “don’t ever….” and “you must do….” bits of advice, the reader might come away overwhelmed and more confused than ever. But Anthony does attempt to distill his ideas down to very basic principles which are very helpful.
All in all a very useful book!
2 Stars Huge Disappointment!!!
Anthony’s “Selling to VITO” is one of the best books ever written for people selling big ticket products and services to senior executives. So I had high expectations for his latest book, “Secrets of VITO.” Unfortunately, the book is little more than pop-psychology. Consider the following seven of Anthony’s ten golden rules:
(1) I will be honest, even when it hurts. (2) I will touch people in a special way. (3) I will keep my thoughts and ideas simple and straightforward. (4) I will show my positive emotions. (5) I will say I am sorry when I mess up. (6) I will look at people when I talk to them… (9) I will not settle for the word “no.”
Could Anthony be any more trite? What a huge disappointment. My advice? Buy Anthony’s “Selling to VITO” (if you haven’t already)… but don’t even think about purchasing this book. Overall grade: D/D-
1 Star Not the best book on this subject
I own and have read the author’s original book: Selling to VITO. That book is worth owning and I recommend it without reservation.
Unfortunately, Mr. Parinello has attempted to take his franchise too far. Secrets of VITO and Getting to VITO do not present the value of the original book. They are a rehash of the author’s experiences and offer precious little original thought or suggestions.
The best book I’ve come across on the subject of calling in to the top of the food chain is: Value Forward Selling by Paul DiModica. It is better in everyway than Secrets of VITO.

3 Stars Took Mr. Afuah’s class at Michigan ….
The book is (or was) an excellent primer to understanding the fundamental concepts of e-commerce. But while there are some business concepts thrown in (i.e. the 5 C’s), they do not expand on those basic understandings of the Internet and its businesses. Anyone who had been following the Internet years via other publications would already possess the necessary knowledge that this book provides. If you don’t have a good understanding, then at [$$$], there are cheaper alternatives.
A great boost to this book would have been including a CD containing even one of Mr. Afuah’s lectures. Mr. Afuah is a brilliant and knowledgeable man who challenges his students to think beyond just the basics. We were not able to get away with trite responses not backed up with data. Since this is hard to do through a book, an interactive CD could at least be somewhat useful.

geez man, this book is unbelievably a hard work to read et alone to understand , but i find this book is a good challenge to take and i predict this book will be able to help the reader to help the reader to understand the subject learned furthermore, yes i find this book a resourceful book but this book will be more useful for people with a base of knowledge in the field,for a college student concentrating in this field i find this book troubling and useful in the same time. this book really helpful for all students that really interesting with ecommerce.Not really difficult and easy to understand when you reading.Good Words and conceptual.And off course all reference up to date.

After reading this book, I found this book was very helpfull for me in understanding kinds of Internet Business. Since I don’t have “Internet” background in my education, this book is really recommended by me to be your reference book, whether it is for student use or business implementation. Least but not last, it is resourceful, up-to-date, and comprehensive but not too technical also fill with real case studies.

The book’s case studies give concrete examples that readers can use as a foundation for making business decisions. This is an instructive book for entrepreneurs and product managers who aim to launch products in fast-moving technology arenas.
